What In-School ABA Therapy Is About

In-school ABA therapy is a highly effective intervention technique and behavioral therapy that can greatly benefit children living with autism or other special needs. ABA therapy is an evidence-based approach that uses scientifically-proven techniques to teach new skills and reduce problematic behaviors, including:

  • Improved verbal communication skills
  • Improved socialization skills
  • Improved attention and memory

When implemented in a school setting, applied behavior analysis therapy can provide children with consistent support, helping them to achieve their academic, social, and behavioral goals. This treatment involves a collaborative approach between the school, parents, and our Two Hearts ABA Therapy professionals, and is tailored to meet the unique needs of each child.

Benefits of ABA Therapy in an Educational Environment

One of the main benefits of in-school ABA therapy is its individualized approach. Our ABA therapy in Boca Raton is highly structured, using the psychological principles of learning theory and weekly monitoring to ensure progress and modify treatment if needed. Through implemented behavior modifications and data analysis, this treatment focuses on teaching functional skills, such as communication, social interaction, and self-regulation, which are crucial for long-term success in an educational setting.

By addressing behaviors that may impede learning, ABA therapy can help children develop important academic, social, and adaptive skills that can improve their overall educational experience.

Why Parents Choose ABA Therapy

Parents often choose applied behavior analysis therapy for their children and choose to work with behavioral therapists because it is a scientifically-backed form of treatment. Because our Two Hearts ABA Therapy process involves observation of a child and curating a unique treatment plan, we can help parents help their children work through developmental deficiencies. This effective and customizable approach is also flexible — our ABA therapy is available whenever needed, in-home, at school, and at our clinic.

Getting Started With In-School ABA Therapy

Our in-school ABA therapy for Southeast Florida children typically begins with an initial assessment. This assessment is designed to gather data on a child's current behaviors and skill levels. Based on the assessment results, Two Hearts ABA Therapy will create an individualized six-month treatment plan targeting specific behaviors and skill acquisitions.

Once therapy begins, your child's progress is constantly monitored, and the treatment plan may be modified as needed to ensure effectiveness. After the initial six-month period, a re-assessment is conducted to determine the best way to move forward. This allows for ongoing evaluation and adjustment of the treatment plan to meet the changing needs of the child.
